with the video design for Little Gem i had an opportunity to try out some ideas i’d been dying to try for ages. namely moving away from typical, obvious ‘video’ projections found in theatre, towards more abstract and atmospheric material that might compliment and augment set/lighting designs rather than stand out and distract. i designed twelve video pieces in total for Little Gem.

Myself and lighting designer, Mark, had some time to play around with how the projected light and traditional fixture light would blend on the set. The clips below are what were projected rather than the final mix on the wall which is a shame. (clips down for now – back soon)
