[The Union Workhouse - the main venue where the work of seventeen artists will be displayed including Aideen Barry, Diana Caramaschi, Anita Delaney, Damien Flood, Jessica Foley, Michael Fortune, Fiona Hackett, Helen Hughes, Wendy Judge, Aileen Lambert, Sarah Lincoln, Brian Lynch, Christine Makey, Orla McHardy, Kate Minnock, Jack Phelan & Sharon Phelan.]

I produced The Sequence Ends for the 100 Experiments Exhibition. It builds upon my previous similar piece Machina Mundi. The sequence ends was located in a very wet and dark corridor in the union workhouse. It was a treat to be able to spend so much time in such an amazingly bleak building in the throws of natural reclaimation. The light/sound and mechanical sculpture was activated by a hidden pressure sensor underfoot. Amplified antique clock chimes rang out through hidden speakers in a stairwell behind. Thanks to Erin for the seed/seedling drawings and to John and Sharon for the photos.
